Greenwich Palace was one of the largest and most modern of the Tudor palaces. It boasted excellent sporting facilities making it a favourite residence of the young Henry VIII. He and his two daughters, Mary and Elizabeth, were born there, his son, Edward, died there and his second wife, Anne Boleyn, was arrested here. This illustrated talk will look at people and events at the Palace during the Tudor period.
This lecture is given by Frances Ward, a distinguished and entertaining lecturer on Greenwich history, in the Clore Learning Centre at Discover Greenwich, the Old Royal Naval College. She has also made several TV and radio appearances.
